CALAKAS SONORAS are a 7-piece performing group from Milwaukee, WI, specializing in live performance events. Best described as pop-rock en español, the group covers classic artists in the genres, including Caifanes, Soda Stereo, Maná, Panteón Rococo, El Tri, El Haragán y Compañía, Mon Laferte, and many more. Featuring a two-trumpet horn line, the group covers many classic cumbia artists in addition to the rock and ska, such as Los Ángeles Azules, SuperMerk2, Grupo Soñador, and many others. Aside from covering music, the group has also written original music, with an official release coming soon.

No matter where they play, Calakas Sonoras creates an environment with electric energy and dancing. The band's blend of genres brings an exciting fusion of popular Mexican music to any kind of event: music venues (such as Cactus Club or X-Ray Arcade), restaurants, bars and clubs (such as Villanas Restaurant and Bar, La Casa del Chivolin, Dario's Place, and many others), sports events (such as the World Cup 2026 watch parties hosted by Zócalo Food Park), private parties (weddings, engagements, birthdays, holidays, etc.), festivals, opening ceremonies, and many more!
